When Penelope and her children moved into Radiance, it marked more than a change of address— it was the start of a new chapter, for all of them.
After years apart while her children were in foster care due to the family violence, Penelope had finally regained custody. The reunion, though filled with joy, also brought challenges. As she worked on her own healing, Penelope was re-learning how to parent full-time— helping with homework, managing emotions and rebuilding routines. At times, it felt overwhelming.
Because of your generosity, Radiance was there to help this family heal together. Both Penelope and her children received individual trauma-focused counselling. Through play therapy, the kids learned how to express their feelings and strengthen their bond with their mom.
One small moment of trust at a time, their family began to rebuild— not just routines, but relationships. Thanks to supporters like you, Radiance was able to provide the right resources to help Penelope grow in confidence as a parent and help her children feel secure in her care.
