Get Help

At Radiance, we are here to support you every step of the way.

If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.

If speaking is not possible, remaining on the line activates the Silent Call procedure, ensuring prompt dispatch of police assistance.

Your safety is our utmost priority, and we are committed to working with you.

For 24-hour emotional support, call the Distress Centre 403-266-HELP (4357)

Radiance Centre is NOT an emergency shelter.

Please refer to the list of emergency shelters at the bottom of the page for immediate support.

We are a 1-year residential program for women and children fleeing domestic violence who require longer-term safety, support, and recovery. This is referred to as a second stage shelter. Because of this, there is often a waitlist of families waiting to come to Radiance Centre from places like Emergency Shelters.

Apply for Second Stage Shelter at Radiance Centre, The Heart Home Network, and Discovery House:

Radiance Centre is part of The Shared Intake Program. This is a collaboration between all three of Calgary’s second-stage shelters: The Heart Home Network, Radiance Centre, and Discovery House. You only need to apply once and are placed on a single waitlist until a unit becomes available in one of the three shelters.

For information about the other second stage shelters, please visit their websites at the Heart Home Network and Discovery House.

Contact our Shared Intake Worker at 403 860 9412 or intake@calgarysecondstage.com.
